Say Hello to My Little Friend

I don't know whether it's because I recently spent some time in Miami or because I watched Al Pacino's Scarface again this weekend for the 1000th time, but definitely feeling the Havana sun and being inspired by it. So to quote Tony Montana (your and my favorite most misunderstood psychotic drug dealer) "Say Hello to My Little Friend". Here's our Burger of the Week.

El Cubano Burger
Neiman Ranch Seasoned Pork Patty (Yep, we sure love the Pig)
Rosemary Ham
Gruyere Cheese
Pickles
Secret Sassy Sauce

It will rock your world!!!! It might even send you off on psychotic murdering rampage (assuming your friend just had his hand cut off in the shower)...but maybe not.

Also wanted to let you know that we are taking delivery of the Frites'N'Meats Cycle and our delivery area will be expanding very soon. We hope to be able to provide all you Burger impoverished Financial District denizens with some killer Burger love very soon.

In the mean time, we'd love to hear from you. Love to get feedback. Shoot us an email, let us know what you think. feedme@fritesnmeats.com

Have a great week. Don't forget, a Burger a Day keeps the vegetarians away.

@fritesnmeats & Other Stuff

Howdy All,

So on Friday, while looking over our Twitter posts, I saw this link on the side, @fritesnmeats, and having never clicked on it before, clicked. Wow! Here I was, all this time, thinking that noone was paying attention to our Tweets, that noone was writing to us, and there they were, several hundred Tweets from you to us. Wow!

First of all we want to apologize for not responding to all of you. It was not out of arrogance, but out of ignorance. Secondly we want to address the most pressing question on most of your minds - what is our delivery area, and what is the delivery minimum.

Our delivery minimum is $15. Our delivery area is bordered to the North by Hubert Street, to the South by Park Place, to the East by Church Street, and to the West by the West Side Highway. Right now our delivery area is a bit small as we make all deliveries on foot, but by the end of the month we'll have the Frites'N'Meats cycle on the road and we'll be expanding our deliveries to the Financial District and other points, North, East, West & South. Just give us a shout at 917.292.9226

This week the Burger of the Week is The Oinker!!! This is, without a doubt, the best burger in NYC. Second to none. You've been clammoring for us to bring it back and here it is. For those who don't know what The Oinker is, it's a well seasoned Neiman Ranch pork patty, topped with double thick bacon, gruyere cheese & a sassy roasted red pepper aioli. Man, I'm getting hungry just writing about it.

Lastly, we wanted to ask, if you have a second, to please post a review of us on sites like Yelp, MenuPages & such. Whether good or bad (we hope mostly good), throw it up there for the world to see. Either way we appreciate the feedback and learn from it.

Have a great week. Eat a Burger

Happy New Year Burger Lovers!

Howdy All,

Wanted to wish all our fellow carnivores a very Happy 2010. May your burgers always be tasty, juicy and cooked to perfection. May your fries always be crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and accompanied by fabulous dipping sauces. I guess what I'm saying is may your 2010 be a Frites'N'Meats year ;)

We're kicking it off with a Burger of the Week inspired by the flavors of Little Havana in Miami. I was lucky enough to spend some time there over the holidays and the flavors, music, and people all about a good time. So we wanted to put all that into a Burger. We came up with The Havana Mama. It's a wonderful blend of Nieman Ranch ground pork & spicy Chorizo sausage, topped with Brie cheese & smoky Chipotle sauce. It's got heat, it's got spice, it's sexy, it's Havana!!! We hope you'll swing by and grab one or give us a shout and we'll come a'runnin'.

Speaking of us runnin', just wanted to remind y'all that we do deliver. Our delivery area is bordered to the North by Hubert Street, to the South by Park Place, to the East by Church Street, and to the West by the West Side Highway. Right now our delivery area is a little small because we do all deliveries on foot, but by the end of the month we'll have the Frites'N'Meats cycle out on the road and we'll be expanding our deliveries to the Financial District and other points North, East, & West. Just give us a shout at 917.292.9226

We also wanted to ask if you have a second to please post a review of your Frites'N'Meats experience on sites like Yelp, MenuPages and such. We know we have a lot of fans, and you always come up to the truck and tell us how much you like our vittles, but it seems that good news is told face to face (which we appreciate immensely) but bad news is transmitted to the world. Well we'd like to have it be a bit more balanced. So whether it's good or bad, throw it up there for all the world to see. Either way we appreciate the feedback and learn from it.

Have a great week. Stay warm. Eat a Burger.
